Environmental Impact Assessment
The proposal is for seven turbines, 125m high, located on land two miles east of the village of Emberton, for a life of 25 years.
The EIA is a rigorous, lengthy and comprehensive process drawing on different experts in the fields of Ecology, Landscape, Noise, Aviation, Archaeology, Transportation and Construction. These expert assessors evaluate the current environmental conditions at a proposed development. They assess how the proposed wind farm will effect the environment, and whether any resultant changes in conditions are deemed acceptable or unacceptable. The assessors use “best practice guidelines” wherever such guidelines exist and call upon the numerous local, regional and central government policies on such matters.
Your Energy Ltd submitted its Planning Application to the Milton Keynes District Council in August 2006, and the Environmental Statement makes up part of that application.
